Facilities

The centre offers a number of vital health and well-being related services which some of our service users might not be able to access otherwise. It has won awards and plaudits for its ground breaking approach to tackling health and lifestyle barriers to training and employment.

The Voucher System

The medical unit at the community centre provides access to health care for vulnerable individuals. It is all too common for people who are homeless not to be registered with a GP and therefore leave potentially harmful medical conditions unchecked.

The community centre offers access to a doctor, a nurse and a podiatrist and can advise individuals on general health, nutrition and if required, refer on to specialist care. For more details on this service follow this link.

Community Groups using the centre

The Cyrenians continues to strengthen its links with minority groups across southwest Wales. Members of the Kurdish, Eritrean and Sudanese communities regularly meet at our Community centre in High St., Swansea. Once a year, we hold an International Day at the centre, as a celebration of cultural traditions and friendship. In response to demand, we have also established weekly ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes.

Low-income groups
(annual income of less than £10,000)

  • Small (up to 15 people) - £5 per hour
  • Medium (16-30 people)- £7.50 per hour
  • Large (over 30 people)£10 per hour

Medium income groups
(annual income of between £10.000 & £200,000)

  • Small (up to15 people) - £10 per hour
  • Medium (16-30 people0 - £15 per hour
  • Large (over 30 people) - £20 per hour

Higher-income groups
(annual income of over £200,000)

  • Small (up to15 people) - £20 per hour
  • Medium (16-30 people) - £30 per hour
  • Large (over 30 people) - £40 per hour
